- ABOUT YOUR TOWN GOVERNMENT: Your Farmington Town Board is the Legislative and Executive Branch of your local Town Government. The Town Board meets in a public session at 7:00PM on the Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month at the Farmington Town Hall, 1000 County Road Number 8.
- General background of your Town Supervisor:
Ted Fafinski retired from the United States Air Force after serving over 22 years on Active Duty. His career in the private sector spanned several years as a Human Resource Consultant, Operations Manager in the telecommunications and financial services industries. He retired early from the private sector as an Assistant Vice President / Sr. Human Resource Manager of a division of a Fortune 100 corporation. He served as a Farmington Town Board Member from January 1, 1990 until elected and subsequently appointed early as Town Supervisor in November 1998.
His educational accomplishments include earning an Associate in Applied Science Degree, Associate in Arts Degree, Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Science Degree. He has taught in the business and human resources areas at both Onondaga Community College and Finger Lakes Community College.
He is a full time supervisor for the Town of Farmington; he is also the Budget Officer for the Town and Canandaigua Farmington Water District as well as a number of special districts.
In addition he represents the residents of Farmington as a member of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors, which is the legislative body for Ontario County. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. He previously served on the following Board of Supervisors Committees: Chairman of the Personnel; Member of the Insurance; Vice-Chairman of Government Operations and Improved Methods. He is a past member of the county Public Safety and Alternatives to Incarceration Committees as well. In addition, he previously served on the Management Compensation sub-committee.
